Topics:  Making choices and living with the consequences

  • Overview of the Israelites in the period from Joshua through Hezekiah
  • A look at some of the laws in the United States and how they are interpreted by our judges
  • Verbs and Diagramming 101

Projects: 

  • A trading game which simulates:  bartering; the riches of the Israelite nation and their consequences for rejecting God; and reviews Bible heroes.   Teacher Directions for the Trading Game
  • Projects A and B will be to make a timeline and add kings, prophets, kingdoms, etc.
  • Students will do several small, indepth studies for history-Bible.
Bulletin Board Ideas:
  • Needed:   Youth who will stand for the right though the heavens fall!

  • Envelopes--two per student or group to hold Blessing Cards and Heritage Cards.
  • A hat, bag, or something to hold cards that students will draw Israelite Heritage Cards from.   (A cloth bag from the Dollar Store that is meant as a gift bag for a bottle works well.)
  • Graph paper for student timelines (For Project A.  Additions to timeline are added in Week B and the upcoming units)
  • Misc. supplies for reporting on small research project.
